1. Set the stage in each room. Make the scenes tell the story of how great their vacation will be.
2. Don't worry about editing while you're filming. We will take care of all the editing and cutting. Just film long sequences to ensure that we capture the shot that will blow vacationers away.
3. Pad each scene with two or three seconds of extra footage at the beginning and end. This will allow us to use fading and other techniques to streamline your video tour.
4. Capture the atmosphere and charm of your vacation destination for added local flavor. Every place has a unique personality, and a good vacation video shows that personality. Record a few seconds of footage showing local character, charm, and possible activities available.
5. Use zoom once or twice to show close views of focal points and details, such as fireplaces, pools, outdoor firepits, a sitting area, etc. Start zoomed all the way out to show the entire scene. Then, zoom in to a close-up of your focal point or vice versa. Make sure to pan these views too, just incase the zoom doesn't turn out quite as planned.
6. It's important to keep the camera steady while filming. Some camcorders have automatic image stabilizers that will help to smooth things out. You can also stabilize it by placing the camera on a solid surface. Using a tripod or nearby stable surface will help to make zoom shots steady and capture the moment vacations will desire.
7. Keep the video footage running for all mistakes, even if you bump the camera. Just start the scene over again while the camera is still runnung. We can edit the unwanted takes.
8. Send us your video and we'll create the marketing hype that will leave vacationers wanting more.
