Q.  What is SeeVacationRentals.com?

A.  SeeVacationRentals.com is a web site that advertises vacation rentals for property owners. We do not book the properties ourselves. We provide information on vacation properties that the owners provide to you through this site. After searching and selecting your next vacation rental, you can contact the owner directly to book your stay.

Q.  What are vacation rentals?

A.  Vacation rentals are properties owned and rented out for your enjoyment. Renting a property has many perks including your own private setting, equiped with many amenities. It's your home away from home.

Q.  What will I gain from using this site?

A.   We developed the technology to advertise vacation rentals around the world directly to you so you can easily book your next dream vacation without paying any finders fees. On top of that, even more savings are involved when you rent directly by owner. Vacation property owners don't have to pay the 35%-40% commission to advertise with us like many property management companies charge in rental income fees. Likewise, owners can charge much less for the purpose of renting their vacation property for your enjoyment. This means big savings to you! With loads of savings and fun, you can gain a great vacation rental experience.

Q.  Do I have to register to use this site?

A.  Registration is not needed. Just simply click on the desired location you would like to search in or use our quick vacation rental search option.

Q.  Does it cost to use this site?

A.  No. It does not cost the vacationer anything to use this site and view properties. You actually save money by renting directly from the owner. The owners pay to advertise on our site in order for you to easily choose and reserve your next dream getaway.

Q.  How do I book a vacation rental property?

A.  By contacting the owner directly by phone or e-mail you can book your vacation quite easily. You can view the availability calendar for each rental property on the property information page. Within this page is where you will also find how to contact the owner, all property amenities, description and pictures.

Q.  What type of deposit or payment will I need?

A.  After you have contacted the owner, they usually will require a deposit to hold your reservation. Reservations and bookings are pretty much the same as booking a vacation anywhere else. They usually accept any major credit cards and cashiers checks. Just ask the property owner or manager for all reservation details.

Q.  How do I know the rentals shown are legit?

A.  Always ask for a lease or rental agreement, receipt of payment, policies, including cancellation policies, and any or all instructions. Unfortunately we cannot screen the property rentals found on this site. You can ask the owner for recommendations and references if you would like reassurance of a property.

A.  Our advance property setup can be completed anytime. The advanced settings include; custom amenities, custom attractions/activities, availability calendar, rates, specials, auto-specials, and rental policies.

Q.  What are the special features?

A.  Our special features include the Advanced Settings; custom amenities, custom attractions/activities, in-house availability calendar, rates, specials, auto-specials, and rental policies. The Advanced Settings can be attended to at any time and will display your edits and additions instantly. You can learn more here, under the heading "Owner's Advanced Settings."

Q.  How quickly will my property be shown on See Vacation Rentals?

A.  Your property will be shown to thousands of vacationers as soon as you have completed the Owner Registration. The quick registration includes these five quick steps: register yourself or company, property description, image manager for downloading photos, reservation contact, and publish your property.

Q.  What will I gain from using this site?

Q.  How do I pay to advertise and how much does it cost?

A.  After you have completed the Owner Registration and property management setup, the last step will be Feature/Publish Listing. Select your duration to advetise, choose your pay option, and get ready to see your vacation rental property published.

Q.  What is a featured property?

A.  If you decide to be See Vacation Rentals "Featured Property," you will have the opportunity to impress all those vacationers that don't like to shop around and are prepared to make impulse decisions. You'll get a chance to make that first impression sooner than other vacation rentals. Your "Featured Property" will also be shown to thousands on the regional page pertaining to that property.

Q.  How do I become a featured property?

A.  During your Owner Registration process under "Property Management" the last step is "Feature/Publish Listing." On this page simply select whether you choose to be a Featured Listing.


REGISTERED OWNER FAQ'S

Q.  How do I upload photos?

A.  The Image Manager will let you browse your files. After selceting your image, click "Upload New Image." To delete an image, click "Delete."

Q.  How do I upload more than 20 photos?

A.  Contact us and we'll set you up.

Q.  Why haven't I received any inquiries?

A.  Ask yourself three questions and you will probably get your answer. Is my price competitive with similar properties with the same amenities? Do I have quality photos? Did I properly stage my rental to attract vacationers in the photos?

Q.  How do I stage my property for photos and vacationers?

A.  The first immpression is a key factor in renting your property. A potential vacationer will make their decision within seconds of viewing your photos whether or not they are interested in finding out more. Before taking your photos, get rid of all the clutter, make sure the rooms flow nicely and are clean, and good placement of furniture and arrangement of decor is a must. Q.  How can I make changes to my property page?

A.  Adding more detail to your property or making changes to an existing property is quick and easy, just use the "Back" and "Save" buttons or navigate with the menu links to the right of the administration pages. Your changes will be reflected immediately. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Q.  How can I change a photo?

A.  Under Administration Home, click on the menu link "Image Manager" to the right of the page. Simply select the photo you would like to change and click "Change" to browse and upload a new image.

Q.  Why can't I sign-in?

A.  Passwords are case sensitive. If you forgot your password, enter your user name and zip/postal code used to create your account here and we'll e-mail it to you. If you forgot your user name, enter your e-mail address used to create your See Vacation Rentals account here and we'll e-mail it directly to you.

Q.  While trying to register, I receive a message telling me I need cookies. What does this mean?

A.  To sign in to your account, your browser has to be enabled to accept cookies. See Vacation Rentals uses a temporary cookie to store your username and some other non-sensitive information while you are signed in. When you log out or close you browser, the cookie is deleted from your machine. This is common for most sites that you log into.

Q.  How do I enable cookies on my browser?

A.  To enable your browser to accept cookies, determine what browser and version you are using and follow the guide below.
